Herbert Hauser wants only one thing for Christmas: his manhood. As Christmas draws near, his feelings of inadequacy only seem to grow as he loses his job, can't reconnect with a father he hasn't seen in years, and bumbles through a series of failed attempts to meet the "right" girl.
His mother thinks he needs a good "therapist." His big brother thinks he needs more ambition. His best friend, Mike, thinks he just needs to go out and have a good time. Adding insult to injury, he's plagued by a recurring dream in which Santa mocks him each time he requests his "manhood" for Christmas.
Meanwhile, new found friend, Lizzy, has her own personal challenges, including an abusive relationship with a boyfriend who is the father of her four-year-old son. Will helping Lizzy overcome the challenges in her life help Herbert discover the true meaning of "manhood?" Or will Santa just punch him in the nose and tell him to "get a life!"
